Unlike most online redaction tools, your image is never uploaded to any server. The entire editing session runs inside your browser using the well-known HTML5 Canvas API — your image is read directly from your device, drawn onto an in-memory canvas, and every redaction is applied pixel-by-pixel to that local canvas. When you click download, the modified image is written to a new PNG file on your own device. That means your Aadhaar number, PAN code, bank account, phone number, email address, signature and any other personal details never leave your computer or phone. There is no signup, no email required, no watermark added by us, no daily limit and no page-count restriction beyond your device's memory. The interface is built around a fast, intuitive workflow. As soon as you upload an image (or paste it directly with Ctrl+V), Dudi Document Privacy Tool displays the image on an interactive canvas with the redaction toolbar above. Three redaction modes are available. Blur applies an irreversible downscale-then-upscale blur that destroys the original pixel data — this is the safest mode and the recommended default. Black paints a solid black rectangle over the selected area — perfect for redacting headings, signatures, or blocks of text where you want no traces visible. Pixel replaces the selected area with a mosaic of averaged color blocks, which visually preserves the shape of the underlying content while making the actual text unreadable — ideal for photos or graphics where you want a less jarring visual. You drag your mouse or finger over any sensitive area and a red translucent selection box tracks your movement live; when you release, the redaction is applied instantly to that area. Each redaction is stored as a separate mark, so you can undo the last one with the Undo button, or clear everything and start fresh with Reset. The mark counter shows exactly how many redactions have been applied. Four quick hint buttons explain what each type of sensitive data looks like — Aadhaar (12 digits), PAN (10-character alphanumeric code), phone (10-digit mobile number) and email (the @ address) — so you never miss a detail. Because the redaction is applied directly to the canvas pixels and never to a separate overlay layer, the downloaded PNG contains the redacted image as its actual pixel content — meaning anyone who opens the downloaded file sees only the redacted version, with no way to recover the hidden text even with advanced image processing software. The filename uses Dudi PDF Editor's counter so repeat downloads in the same browser session never overwrite each other. It becomes Dudi PDF Editor Document Privacy.png, then (2), (3) and so on. The Share File button packages the redacted image as a PNG file and opens your device's native share sheet (Web Share API) on mobile, so you can send the actual redacted file directly to WhatsApp, Telegram, Email, AirDrop, Bluetooth or any other installed app. On desktop where Web Share API is not available, it downloads the file so you can attach it manually. Touch gestures mean the tool works perfectly on a smartphone — drag with your finger to redact, pinch to zoom the canvas (with the browser's native zoom), and download or share in one tap. Everything runs locally, so the tool often keeps working even on a weak connection after the first page load. The layout is fully responsive, so the drop zone, redaction toolbar, canvas, mode buttons and action buttons all stay easy to use on a small Android phone as well as on a large desktop monitor.
